Uploaded by the author, WWPLUS is a program for managing your Windows Wallpaper. It provides tools for changing, editing, and converting files to Windows Wallpaper.
Features include:
* Regain the use of substantial amounts of disk space by using compressed image formats, which are not normally usable as Windows wallpaper. WWPlus includes tools that will convert images to and from these additional formats. Supported formats include .GIF, .PCX, ,TFF, TGA, .ICO and .JPG.
* Built-in image editting. Editing features include: Crop, Rotate, Resize, Stretch, and alteration of brightness and contrast.
* Wallpaper positioning may be adjusted and "remembered" for future display.
* On-the-fly resizing of images to screen size or user-set size.
* A screen saver module that allows your wallpaper selections to be used as a "slide-show" screen saver.
* 16 screen saver transition effects.
* General gamma correction option.
* WWPlus has a provision for reducing the colors in a 256-color image to 16 for VGA display, and for reducing True-Color (16 million colors) images to 256 (or 16) colors.
* A preview function will display all of the selected wallpapers in "thumbnail" form for easy selection. (Option to turn off auto-thumbnailing for slow systems)
* Multiple "queues" (configuration files) may be maintained, each saved under a distinctive name.
* Random or sequential display of the images in the queue.
* A timer is provided for "slide show" effects
* Supports long filenames in Windows 95 and NT
